Gran Riserva is a dedicated angel investment vehicle, deploying small tickets of personal capital into 2 to 3 pre-seed opportunities annually across DACH and Europe.
We target exceptional founding teams with a well-thought-out business model and prototype or MVP. We do not necessarily expect revenue or specific traction metrics – a disciplined focus ensures concentrated investments into high-conviction opportunities.We invest at the intersection of EdTech, Data Privacy, Cyber Security and Media, often with AI/ML or Hardtech components, united by a commitment to responsible media, trusted news and democratic discourse. These sectors advance trusted information and broader education as pillars of a free and open society; we explicitly avoid models that undermine these principles. Investments prioritise team, product, defensible moat and impact.As operators at heart, we provide hands-on value-add through product sparring, branding and story development, go-to-market guidance and access to content and media houses, agencies, tech and product communities and DACH K‑12 education networks. Ad‑hoc support and regular sparring position us as an approachable partner.
An acclaimed screenwriter, director, and alumnus of Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Thomas has created narratives for ARD’s Tatort, Netflix, HBO, and series like Hackerville and Art of Gaming, blending storytelling with tech-driven production. He also helps media houses and corporates develop their brand story narratives. With Tilman, he founded his 1st company in 2008.
With over 15 years of experience in digital product management, at LAMY, Tilman introduced the Digital Writing category, including the ergonomic and quality design pencil for iPad, and sister products for Android-based touchscreens tablets and laptops. He combines operational expertise with a passion for scalable digital business models. With Thomas, he founded his 1st company in 2008.
